2. Wash hands frequently
Handwashing is your first line of defense. Teach your children to wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after coughing, sneezing, or coming home from school or public places. Using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol is a good backup solution when soap isn’t available.
3. Boost your immune system
Healthy habits strengthen your body’s ability to fight off viruses. Focus on:
- Enjoying a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables
- Staying hydrated
- Getting seven to nine hours of sleep per night
- Staying active with regular physical movement

4. Keep sick family members isolated
