IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTICE to Our Pediatric Patients/Parents
Like all of you, we are working hard to adapt what we do to the changing needs of our community due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the Stay Home Work Safe instructions for the City of San Antonio & our country, Northeast Pediatric Associates remains committed to providing excellent pediatric care. We encourage all of you to continue to schedule & attend your well visits. Routine vaccinations remain essential to the health of your child & our community!
For all other concerns, please call our office and we can schedule a video telehealth appointment with us. We still want to see you and take good care of you. After a video appointment, if we determine it is still important for you to be seen in clinic, we will schedule an in-person appointment as needed.
For in-person visits: ONLY scheduled patients and their parent/guardian should attend. We do not recommend that any other guests/siblings attend unless absolutely necessary.
All of our well visits are being scheduled in the morning and sick visits in the afternoon. Please expect us to contact you by phone the day prior to confirm that your child and the person bringing them to their visit are well for well visits, and to ask screening questions for our sick visits. For well visits, you will need to reschedule if you have fever, cough, or other flu-like symptoms.
In addition to our normal cleaning measures, we have enhanced our office cleaning procedures such that we are even more frequently cleaning doorknobs, waiting room chairs, patient rooms and other surfaces. We have removed all stickers, lollipops, treasure boxes and books from our offices so that these things cannot spread illness. Please feel free to bring your favorite toys from home to entertain your child while here.
Make sure to sign up for our patient portal at www.npa-sa.com. We will be using the portal to inform patients/parents of important information.
We are closely monitoring guidance from San Antonio Metropolitan Health District and Centers for Disease Control and adapting our approach based on their guidance. We are committed to doing our part to reduce the spread of this virus. As always, we thank you for entrusting us with the care of your precious children.
