In 1978 Dr. Ornes undertook the arduous task of opening a new pediatric practice. His vision over 30 years ago was to provide the best quality and compassionate care for children and families of the San Antonio area. What started has a small single site practice with only a few physicians, has grown into one of the largest pediatric practices in San Antonio.

In 2017 Dr. Rene M. Ornes, M.D. decided it was time for him to take a step back from practice medicine and move on to the new season of retirement effective June 2017. Northeast Pediatric Associates began as a vision and dream, is now a successful pediatric facility that continues to practice medicine with the very same mission and values. Providing the best quality and compassionate care for the children and families of the San Antonio and Schertz areas.
