Northeast Pediatric Associates is dedicated to providing quality medical care with specific emphasis on preventative health care through regular physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and parent education and guidance.

Dr. Pauli spends most of his time with his three greatest loves; his faith, his family, and his pediatric practice. He has been married for nearly 3 decades to the love of his life Vicki and has an amazing daughter, Paisley, who has recently graduated from University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology and a Master's in Health Administration. He devotes a great deal of time to his church with their international television ministry for over 30 years, president of their school board, and more recently medical director for their mobile medical unit. He has won hundreds of awards in local and state competitions in bowling, enjoys spending his spare time in woodworking, target shooting, riding roller coasters, fishing, traveling, and just spending time with his family. He is currently the Administrative Partner for NEPA.

Dr. Ornes is the Chief of Pediatrics at Northeast Baptist Hospital. He travels the country giving talks on vaccines, coaches the St. Pius Catholic School basketball team, loves to spend time with his 3 beautiful granddaughters and is hard at work writing a science fiction novel. He is past president of the Texas Pediatric Society and Texas Medical Association Pediatric Section.

Dr. Groos is an avid armchair traveler, reader, dog walker and blood donor. He often visits the movie theater with his wife on an afternoon off and is a huge movie buff. Occasionally, he plays golf, albeit with more of a handicap than he might like.

Dr. Howelton assists her husband Pastor Russell Howelton with the ministry at Skybridge Community Church, where she is also Vacation Bible School coordinator and active in the women's ministry. She is a member and past president of the San Antonio chapter of Jack and Jill of America, a group that promotes civic, educational, cultural and social activities for mothers and children.

Dr. Rhame skis, plays tennis, scuba dives and has even been bungee jumping (twice!). He enjoys spending time with his children and reading. He is active in BexarPac and campaigns for his wife, 386th Juvenile District Court Judge Laura Parker.

Dr. Hagee gardens, reads, and loves family time with her husband, two children, and an old yellow lab. During the school year, she is involved with her children's school and many activities. During the summer, she and her family live for their weekends at the coast. Dr. Hagee has published two children's books, "Annabel, the Slow, Little Snail No One Ever Noticed," and "Paloma, the Bird Who Was Afraid to Fly." She loves pediatrics because of relationships developed with families through the years of educating, counseling, and advocating for their children.

Dr. Lindner frequently travels on weekends with her family. You are likely to find her hiking in the Hill Country or swimming at the Gulf Coast. She also volunteers at her children's schools.

When Dr. Franco is not chasing around her three young children and pug or working on her latest home improvement project, she enjoys reading a good fiction book or designing photo albums. She also volunteers as a classroom PAL (Parent Assisted Learning) at her daughter's school.

Dr. Helsel enjoys spending time with her family swimming, playing games, or venturing out for a "one tank trip" to visit new places near San Antonio. She also enjoys volunteering at her daughter's school. When not busy with her two children, she enjoys making crafts and cooking. Dr. Helsel is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the San Antonio Pediatric Society. She has particular professional interest in asthma, atopic dermatitis, breastfeeding, and immunization education.

In Dr. Longanecker's time away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors exploring Texas with her husband. She very much enjoys traveling and has a special interest in cultural tourism. She tries to stay active with yoga, dance, and Pilates. She also became scuba certified fairly recently despite her fear of sharks! Dr.Longanecker's particular professional interests include asthma education and childhood obesity.

Professionally, she has a strong interest in asthma education. Katie currently serves on the Pediatric National Certification Board Pharmacology Committee for Continuing Education and on the board of the San Antonio chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

She enjoys caring for children and families with a focus on developing healthy lifestyles through good nutrition and physical activity.
